Tragedy struck Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, when 15-year-old Dahvea Sparrow was fatally shot, marking a shocking instance of the Dahvea Sparrow shooting reported by various outlets. Sparrow, a former freshman football player at Aliquippa High School, was found deceased not far from the school premises, as stated by Pennsylvania State Police.
Reports indicate that Sparrow was attending a house party in the vicinity before the tragic incident. The Beaver County District Attorney, David Lozier, announced a $5,000 reward for any information leading to a conviction in Dahvea Sparrow shooting case, as per WTAE Pittsburgh.
The Aliquippa school district superintendent, Dr. Phillip Woods, confirmed to media outlets that Sparrow was his cousin and a currently enrolled student. Sparrow was part of the Aliquippa football team last season, serving as a freshman running back and competing in the 4A state title game against Bishop McDevitt. He was not included in this year’s HUDL football roster.
Nicole Sparrow, the deceased teen’s mother, emotionally stated, “He’s gone… That was mine … that was my only baby, and I got to plan his funeral.”
