Get ready for the exciting 18th Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic, showcasing six thrilling games, including a highly anticipated Michigan-Ohio interstate showdown featuring two teams that ranked in last season’s High School Football America 300, sponsored by NFL Play Football.
Don’t miss the grand finale at Wayne State on August 26th, where current Michigan Division 3 state champion Detroit Martin Luther King will go head-to-head with Cincinnati’s St. Xavier. Last season, MLK secured the 190th spot in the national rankings after winning their second consecutive title.
On the other hand, St. X, although they had a 5-7 record, earned the 220th position due to their challenging schedule, making this a must-watch game for all football enthusiasts.
The six-game extravaganza will also spotlight two additional teams that ranked nationally by the end of 2022.
Leading up to the much-awaited MLK vs. St. X clash on Saturday, Cass Tech will compete against Southfield A&T. Cass Tech impressively finished at the 251st spot in the nation last year.
Meanwhile, on Friday, current Division 1 champion Belleville takes on River Ridge. With a remarkable ranking of 56th in the final High School Football America 300, the Tigers are a team to watch out for during this thrilling event.
The exciting event will commence on August 24, as Walled Lake Western takes on Waterford Mott in the opening match. Following this thrilling encounter, Chippewa Valley will go head-to-head with West Bloomfield, adding to the excitement of this spectacular event.
