Ryland Hauser, son of Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser, is heading to Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, which may also see him joining the Horned Frogs football team. The younger Hauser, who attracted recruitment interest as a tight end from Division I schools Mississippi State and Indiana, played high school football at Jensen Beach, Florida. With a stature ranging between 6-4 and 6-5 and weighing 215 to 225 pounds, he is quite the athletic prospect.
Ryland, who clocked 4.65 seconds in a 40-yard dash at Mississippi State, also caught the attention of Texas A&M and Northern Alabama. However, as of now, he does not appear on TCU recruitment sites, and the school’s sports information office does not show any official team affiliation.
While there was no response to messages sent to Ryland and his father’s social media accounts, Cole Hauser shared his pride for his son on Instagram, showing a photo of Ryland in TCU gear. Ryland Hauser’s journey to TCU.
His caption read: “So very proud of my first-born boy. About all he needs is a beard to complete the look!” TCU’s Instagram account commented, welcoming Ryland to the Horned Frog family.
Ryland shared with Treasure Coast News his frustration about critics suggesting his success is due to his surname rather than his ability. However, he emphasized that he is carving out his own path, different from his father’s.
Ryland said, “He did it one way. I want to create in a different way that our family has never done it before.”
